Demonstration 4: Simulation of a Ball Separation Unit

In this demonstration you will control the simulation of a ball separation unit.

Instructions:

  1. The visualization and control window of the simulation will automatically pop up on your desktop when the browser has finished loading this web page.
  2. The flaps can be opened and closed by pressing the corresponding 'Open Upper Flap', 'Close Upper Flap' etc. buttons. The ball(s) inside the separation tube can be blown to the left/right by activating the corresponding compressed air. The ball at the right most position of the separation tube can be reinserted into the tube by activating Compressed Air 3.
  3. Pressing the 'Start Control' or 'Stop Control' results in starting or stopping the implemented separation algorithm, performing a correct and efficient separation of the balls.
  4. If an illegal state is encountered during the control of the ball separation unit, the corresponding area of the simulation is highlighted using the color red.
